NewPalRadio.com is an online radio station that focuses on broadcasting high school sporting events in the New Palestine community. We are a part of the CrossCom Sports Network, LLC, which was founded in 2009 by Andrew Smith and Tim Adams, broadcasting a variety of sporting events in Hancock County. With an intense interest from the community in New Palestine sports, we began to focus our coverage on the Dragons in 2014. We became NewPalRadio.com in 2019. We are an independent limited liability company owned by NPHS teacher and sports information director Andrew Smith.
Our broadcasts have a large reach - during the 2020 football season, we averaged 548 peak simultaneous listeners per game, with a high of 890 (and an average of more than 1,000 views on our YouTube simulcasts of home games). In the 2019 football season, we averaged 733 peak simultaneous listeners, with a high of 1,192 listeners for the regional win against Cathedral. Those numbers have continued in a similar vein since. In 2023-24, we broadcast more than 70 events, with nearly 13,000 unique listeners tuning in for more than 2 million minutes.
We are committed to positively promoting the student-athletes in our community and providing a public service, so fans across the world can follow New Palestine sports. We provide great value to our sponsorship partners. In 2024-25, we plan to continue to broadcast all NPHS football and boys basketball games, as well as all home girls basketball games and a schedule of baseball and softball games, as well as other events. Since the 2021-22 season, we have partnered with NPHS to offer video broadcasts of home events via IHSAAtv
